Our goal is to provide students with a fun, safe, and educational riding program, to help each individual meet their riding goals. |
| Our school is designed to educate our students from the ground up! We offer private, semi-private, and small group lessons,7 days a week, taught by experienced instructors, on exceptional school horses and ponies. |
Welcome to Shenanigans Farm!! My goal is to assist each student in achieving their riding goals by providing a quality-training program that meets the needs of each individual rider and horse, in a safe, positive, and educational environment. Shenanigans Farm offers a limited number of lessons on our lesson horses, as well as individualized training programs for students who own their own horses. Most of our lessons are private, or semi-private, which allows each student more one on one instruction. Our lessons are by appointment only. We greatly appreciate all students arriving 30 minutes prior to their lesson time. This time is used for brushing and tacking your horse. All students are responsible for cleaning their tack and their horse when they are finished. If assistance is needed, we will provide it. We also have monthly horsemanship classes that teach our students how to care for the horses, tack the horses, and basic safety. It is very important that each student is able to spend time on the ground getting to know the horses as well as their regular riding lesson. Horsemanship is an extremely important aspect of learning to ride, and we encourage all of our students to take part in these classes. Please sign up on the door in the observation room. Shenanigans Farms also have quality horses and ponies for partial lease each month. This allows students the opportunity to have their own horse 4 days a week and gives them the opportunity to practice, therefor, excel faster in their progress. It is a wonderful opportunity to get a feel of owning your own, prior to actually purchasing your own horse. Most Shenanigans Farm students compete in our Michigan Hunter Jumper Association or United States Equestrian Horse shows. We do A, B, Pony, and some local C shows. The shows we go to depends on the needs and wants of the clients. The school horses may be leased to go to some of the horse shows. Shenanigans Farm also provides transportation to all of the horse shows, clinics, or other needs of its clients. Prices vary depending on location. In order to provide a healthy environment for both horse and rider, lessons are cancelled if the temperature is above 90' or below 10'. Please call to check if there are any Concerns about the weather. If for any reason you wish to cancel or reschedule your lesson, please call your instructor as soon as possible. It is very important that we are notified if you can not show up. IF YOU DO NOT CALL TO CANCEL WITHIN 24 HOURS, YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR YOUR LESSON. Having a lesson program that creates a positive, safe, and educational environment is very important to me. In order to do this, communication is essential. Please feel free to call me with any questions or comments that you many have. You are welcome to call me during barn hours.
